Assemble Head In Sunburst Sound: Fuzzed Melodies

I almost lumped Assemble Head In Sunburst Sound with bands that have too many loud guitar solos and end up sounding like a symphony of wrecked dial-up tones, but with their garage guitars,‘70s rock influences, and soulful organs, this band has created a pot infused jam session that’s consistent and clean. Their new album, When Sweet Sleep Returned, offers a psychedelic sound fused with boy-girl harmonies, flute, and a 12-string guitar that are sure to induce acid flashbacks. They will be performing at Union Pool in Brooklyn on Sept. 16. myspace.com/theassembleheadinsunburstsound.
