Chiodos To Go On Without Craig Owens

—by , September 24, 2009

Chiodos without Craigery? Can it be true? There’s no official word from their label yet, but I’m sure they’re swamped with this news based on the MySpace blog post that just went up today.

To all of our friends, family, and fans: We would like to let you know that we have let Craig Owens go as the singer of Chiodos. This decision was a necessary one. Out of respect for all of the hard work that we have put in together for all of these years we will not be discussing the specific reasons that this needed to happen. We wish Craig well . We will absolutely be continuing on as a band and we will keep you informed as this next chapter unfolds. Chiodos fans are the best fans in the world and all we can ask of you, after everything you have already given us, is to share in our excitement for this next album. We promise you will not be disappointed…………Brad, Jason, Pat, and Matt

See for yourself.

  1. Well STEPH, it may surprise you to find out that just because every dumb teenage girl (such as yourself) drools and oogles over Craig, does not mean that he is the only man capable of having a melodic voice. Don’t worry chiodos since 4/5, thats a fraction STEPH meaning 4 out of 5 members of the band still remains in the band, says to me that chiodo’s is still with chiodos and craig has to find his own path. I am with Chiodos forever, you guys have and always will be great musicians, with or with out craig.

  3. Just because craig has left the band does not mean they wont go far. give then some credit, they are the band, they made the music, the extreamly amazing keyboards and drums and unique guitar features all belong to Pat, Brad, Matt and Jason. Craigery will do fine on his own, i personally thought of him to be the best one in the group as well. but Chiodos has been at the top of my list for years now, so just because Craig left, doesnt mean that the band will fall. they will do just FINE without him. and even if they do crash, at least they are trying. They wont be as big. people are upset that craig left. but if people got over it, maybe they will see that Chiodos could potentially be better without Chiodos.

  4. so…chiodos fans are the best fans? fuck that there are no fans without craig being there. Good luck trying to find a voice like his because its not exactly a dime a dozen….if this is true about craig the i am no longer a chiodos fan i will replace you with the sound of animals fighting and cinematic sunrise. chiodos you have no i dea how many fans you just lost because without craig you are just any old band
