Mae: Mae-king a Difference

—by , November 5, 2009

Rather than blight their performances with political diatribes and anti-something or another rants, Virginia indie/acoustic rockers Mae are truly committed to making a difference and not just complaining. Devoting a portion of their album sales to various charitable organizations including Habitat For Humanity and Donors Choose, an organization which helps teachers get supplies for their classrooms, Mae has raised over $50,000 this year alone. The music is pretty good, too. See them live Nov. 6 at the Fillmore At Irving Plaza in NYC and Nov. 7 at the School of Rock in South Hackensack, NJ. 16-plus $17.50 and all ages $13.50 respectively. myspace.com/mae.
