The Bouncing Souls: Home For The Holidays…Again

—by , December 24, 2009

Twenty years ago, no one knew who The Bouncing Souls were. Now this New Jersey-bred band has toured the world, released eight studio albums and gained a huge fan base from all over, all by themselves.

It wasn’t all glamour and fame for this punk rock band. Problems between band members, homelessness and breakdowns (both mental and vehicular) hit the band one after another. Their autobiographical documentary, Do You Remember?15 Years Of The Bouncing Souls, shows it all and in celebration of the past 20 years, there is a special showing of the movie at The ShowRoom in Asbury Park on Dec. 27 at 3p.m. with a special performance and Q & A session following. If you can’t make it to The ShowRoom, catch their light-hearted, fast-paced music at one of their four shows at Asbury Park’s The Stone Pony from Dec. 26 – Dec. 29. $22. bouncingsouls.com.
