I'm from jersey city, and when i first heard etown on 89.5, it was such an enlightning experience. being a rock kid in the ghetto, with no influences except 89.5 and like the 2 other kids that liked rock, it was just special. im in a heavy group now where i rap and scream, but without bands like etown and biohazard, i wouldnt realize the potential of mixing the two genres. but damn when you live in the city, and over half your friends are listening to rap, it's not a wigger thing anymore, it's REAL! hope to see etown real soon, and am also hopeful to carry on with some jersey based heavy music, that's still got some swag about it! (my band - Fight Money) love this article!
