The Tossers are bringing a more positive meaning the popular British slur. The Celtic punk band, born and raised in the very Irish Catholic south side of Chicago, combines the traditional sounds of Irish folk music—mandolin, fiddle and banjo—along with punk rock guitar and drums, ala Flogging Molly. Songs about whiskey making people crazy and “No loot, no beer, no fun” will be making it feel like St. Patty’s Day has come a few days early when The Tossers hit the Mercury Lounge March 12. Tickets are $12. thetossers.com.
