Per quanto riguarda l’album “This Is War” e il video “Kings and Queens” ha dichiarato: “E’ stato bello girare a Los Angeles, è la città perfetta per questa canzone. È stato molto entusiasmante girare nella nostra città e invadere le strade con una marea di persone in bicicletta. È stato davvero speciale, un’esperienza indimenticabile. È un album davvero completo, ed è stato bello girare i microfoni sul pubblico per una volta. Era il nostro modo per mostrare alla nostra community tutto il nostro rispetto, ed inoltre è un album che parla di conflitti. Credo che quando qualcuno lo ascolti per la prima volta, sentirà i 30 Seconds To Mars in una nuova atmosfera. È una partenza della nostra band in nuovi confini”.
