Rock outfit Helmet released their seventh studio album—and first record since 2006—on Sept. 7. Seeing Eye Dog is a ten-track album which was mostly produced by the band’s own Page Hamilton, who can add record production to his resume along with singing, guitar playing and songwriting. It stands to reason that such a talented musician would get together and make music with other equally as talented musicians, which I suppose is why Helmet has come so far. Currently on tour in support of this release, the guys play Gramercy Theatre on Oct. 23 (doors 7 p.m., tickets $29. 18+).
