Scythian: Contagious Celts

Scythian, an eclectic Washington-bred band is back in the Tri-State area ready to get audiences off their feet and dancing to a wide variety of Celtic and folk beats. Their high-energy performances, famous for combining native Irish tunes with the capricious delivery you’d expect from punk rockers are elements that will have you traveling from the Emerald Isle to an NYC basement in a single tune. The group’s hardcore use of Gypsy fiddles and chant-a-long verses are sure to leave many jumping around with their hands in the air by the end of the night. The band will be playing at Stout in New York City on Oct. 30 at 10 p.m. Tickets are $10. For more information, visit stoutnyc.com.
