Asbury Park Music Heritage: A History Of Music

—by , November 16, 2010

The city of Asbury Park is hosting a year-long festival to celebrate the town’s rich music history and the arrival of The Smithsonian’s “New Harmonies,” a traveling exhibition based on America’s music history. The festival is being kicked off by a concert at the Stone Pony on Nov. 18 that will feature former Styx member Glen Burtnik, along with Asbury Park’s own Kevin Sanders and his band, The Mayor’s Players. Tickets are $20 for general admission and $100 for V.I.P. to the 7 p.m. show. Visit for more information on upcoming events.
