Sometimes a cursory glance is the best way to go about things. After seeing the name, Darker My Love, without the intention of reviewing the band one might have written them off as gothic metal and otherwise obsolete. However, these guys serve up some serious folk/psychedelic rock that doesn’t sound in the least like it crawled from the abyssal womb of the ‘70s. With their country-tinged yet undeniably quirky sound, these gentlemen will be ready to impress on Nov. 23 at Webster Hall in NYC. Doors 7 p.m. 18+. $17 advance, $20 day of.
