Popular jazz musician Kermit Ruffins, along with Trombone Shorty, Dr. John and Irma Thomas, will be featured as part of the Red Hot + New Orleans, part of the Next Wave Festival. The festival is in recognition of World AIDS Day on Dec. 1, and will benefit New Orleans’ NO/AIDS Task Force. Kermit will be playing his trumpet at BAM Howard Gilman Opera House on Dec. 3 and Dec. 4. Tickets start at $25, show starts at 8 p.m. Also, look for Kermit’s newest release, Happy Talk, which hit shelves on Oct. 26.
