Looking to see some very promising local drummers battle against each other in hopes of playing a live solo at Music Fest 2011? If so, head on out to The Crossroads in Garwood, NJ, on Sunday, July 24, for Drum War 2011. Featuring advanced RMC drum students, the competition will be judged by writer Joe Bergamini, the world’s most recorded drummer Bernard Purdie and Mark Frankel of the Blue Man Group. Runner-up prizes include free lessons, studio time, cash and trophies. The show starts at 12 p.m. and tickets are $8.
