Slam Donahue: From Pumpkins To Pop

—by , February 1, 2012

Slam Donahue is a three-piece indie group that reportedly recorded their first album through a boom box. They are composed of bassist and vocalist Thomas Sommerville, guitarist and vocalist Dave Otto, and lead singer of Fort Lean, drummer Keenan Mitchell. Their eccentric pop sound has been compared to that of Smashing Pumpkins, a statement that flatters the three young band members. Slam Donahue will be joining St. Lucia and Savoir Adore at Pianos, in New York, on Feb. 7 for a night of music and entertainment. Doors open at 8 p.m.; tickets are $8.
