Violens: Violens Is The Answer

Indie alt-pop group Violens has been one of the most popular bands on the NYC stage for a while now, and their sophomore album, True, is due out on Slumberland Records on May 15. They’ve garnered a lot of attention with frontman Jorge Elbrecht’s efforts on remixes of Chairlift and Nite Jewel. Among their recently announced East and West Coast dates is their record release party on May 16 at Le Poisson Rouge, along with Kuroma and New Lines. Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 day of. The performance kicks off at 10 p.m. 18+.
