New York City-based singer-songwriter Jay Brannan will be making a stop on his tour at Maxwell’s in Hoboken on July 19, and wraps up at the Highline Ballroom on Aug. 25. Brannan’s summer tour is in support of his third album, Rob Me Blind, which was released March 27. The instruments on his album merely act as an accent to his solo vocals that really take control of the tracks. This may be the vocalist’s approach to have listeners hear his abstract and brutally honest lyrics that have a comedic undertone.
