Saint Motel: Big Band Reinvented

—by , July 18, 2012

With a hint of old-time big band sound, upbeat keyboard and some indie pop, Saint Motel are a lustrous group of musicians. Their sound is unique, fresh, and diverse. Each song on their new album, Voyeur, has a sophisticated musical twist hiding in the arrangement. This Los Angeles quartet are playing a few concerts on the East Coast this month. On Wednesday, July 25, they’re playing Kung Fu Necktie in Philadelphia. You can also catch them at Mercury Lounge in Manhattan on July 27, and the next night at Glasslands Gallery in Brooklyn.
