In 2004, a talented married couple from Los Angeles began a pop rock band, 8MM, who would reach national and international fame. Sean Beavan, a renowned producer who has worked with groups such as Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson, teamed up with his wife, Juliette Beavan, a celebrity model, and musician Jon Nicholson to create their fifthstudio album, Between The Devil And Two Black Hearts, which was released on Sept. 15. 8MM shows blues influences in some of their pieces, such as the mellow “Between The Devil And Two Black Hearts,” as well as more modern, electronic tones in “Around The Sun.” Catch them playing at Pianos in Manhattan on Dec. 7.

Scouting talent takes time. It means endless appearances and constant live performance evaluation and feedback: all the while hoping simple suggestions take hold. It is a journey I very much enjoy.
8mm , was a band I was drawn to in 2004. What appealed to me was a singer who was finding her voice. Like every new band there were light attended shows as they voyaged to polarize new territory. Juliette Beavan had tenacity and now has become a force on stage, matching vocal attitude with cohesive stage play. They have spider webbed their sound into TV, movies, Holiday markets and continue to evolve. So I invite you to explore the journey and take a look and listen to 8mm. Lorenzo-Ikatchers
