Weird Owl: On The Mend

—by , October 3, 2013

On Oct. 4 and Oct. 5, Brooklyn-based psychedelic explorers Weird Owl will celebrate the release of their new EP, Healing. Officially out Oct. 15 on Anton Newcombe’s (Brian Jonestown Massacre) A Recordings imprint, Weird Owl’s latest finds the four-piece basking in bizarre runs and sweet echoing melodies while keeping an undertone of driving rock, and will be available either on dayglo 10” vinyl or as a CD, which presumably is also nifty-looking if only for its striking yellow-and-pink cover art. Weird Owl play Death By Audio in their native borough on the fourth with Ancient Sky and The Nuclears and upstairs at Kung Fu Necktie in Philly on the fifth.
