After being discovered by Peter Gabriel and signing to his label in the early ’90s, Joseph Arthur has released 10 albums, with the newest being 2013’s The Ballad Of Boogie Christ. As a singer-songwriter, his songs are incredibly poetic, yet have an alt rock flair. He has been praised by people like Michael Stipe and Cameron Crowe, and has performed on Jay Leno and David Letterman’s shows. He will be playing at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Montclair on Dec. 5 and at City Winery in NYC on Jan. 1.
