SOHO, NY—In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Beatles' first tour in America, the Morrison Hotel Gallery presented a show of fine art photography curated by Julian Lennon. Shots from photogs like Curt Gunther, Robert Whitaker and Charles Trainor of the boys sitting poolside, at the beach and playing with a TYCO racecar set in a hotel in Indianapolis provided a bird’s-eye view of the Fab Four at work and at play.
A shot of Cassius Clay before he morphed into the greatest playfully jabbing the boys is priceless, as is the picture of them frolicking on Miami Beach in 1964. George Harrison’s ex, Patti Boyd, stopped by and talked about a few of her pics on display, including Lennon and McCartney at Rishikesh in India, with a twinkle in her eye.
