Although The Brand New Life formed in North Carolina in 2009, the Afrobeat band decided to take their act north and relocate to Brooklyn to become a part of its thriving music scene. They released their first self-titled EP last October, which was followed by “You Might Not Get A Wife,” their latest single which debuted earlier this year in honor of their tour. The group will play at The Shrine in Harlem on April 19 and Spike Hill in Brooklyn on April 21.
