Tim Barry: Punk Goes Southern Folk

—by , June 16, 2015

Singer-songwriter Tim Barry’s style of tranquil folk pays homage to his Southern roots. Barry’s acoustic guitar backs his conversational croons on Lost & Rootless, his fifth studio album. Released in November 2014, the LP relies on first person storytelling to convey very personal, yet simple sentiments. Prior to his 10-year solo career, Barry acted as the vocalist for the Virginia punk band Avail. On June 19, Barry will appear at Asbury Lanes in Asbury Park and on June 20 he will play at Saint Vitus in Brooklyn.
