—by , September 8, 2015

Danielle de Picciotto, U.S. born turned German resident since 1987 musician/multimedia artist, releases a graphic diary, We Are Gypsies Now! which invites readers to experience the first 18 months of the artist’s life with her husband, Alexander Hacke (Einstürzende Neubauten), as they leave behind all material possessions to become nomads in order to explore life through dreamer’s eyes. Disgusted by gentrification, they decide to travel the world in search of true artistic freedom. We Are Gypsies Now! will be available on Aug. 13 via Amok Books. Tacoma, Picciotto’s solo album, is out now via Moabit Music. Picciotto and her husband will be at Trans Pecos in Ridgewood, New York, on Sept. 9.
