Reggae is not a genre that we often see influencing alternative rock bands today, which is what makes Iration extraordinary. Although all of the band members are originally from Hawaii, the band emerges from California. The five-piece have put out vibey surf jams that represent peace and love through not just the lyrics, but through the instrumentals with guitars, synths, keyboards, and drums. “867” is a single featured on Iration’s latest full-length album, Hotting Up, that has received the most recognition and has been rising on alternative rock airplay charts. Their headlining spring tour will make a stop at Webster Hall in the Grand Ballroom on April 8.
