We Banjo 3: Imports From Ireland

—by , April 19, 2016

Not to their discredit, but there We Banjo 3 isn’t the most accurate name for the award-winning folk band from Galway, Ireland. There are, in fact, four members in We Banjo 3, and they utilize a wide variety of instrumentation, including mandolin, fiddle, guitar, percussion, and yes, the banjo. We Banjo 3 is made up of two sets of brothers: Enda and Fergal Scahill and Martin and David Howley. The tour is part of Culture Ireland’s Centenary Programme, which is an initiative to bring traditionally Irish acts to a global audience. The band’s unique mix of traditional Irish Celtic music with Americana and bluegrass is sure to be a delight. You can catch them at The Cutting Room on April 24.
