Hostage Creates Music: Klangstof

—by , October 26, 2016

Norwegian band, Klangstof, is known for combining their indie-pop sound with electronic sounds to create something completely different from anything heard before. Singer-songwriter and frontman, Koen Van De Wardt, taught himself how to play the guitar at age 14, living almost an hour away from civilization and not having much else to do. After uploading one of their songs to SoundCloud, Klangstof was picked up by U.K.-based label, Mind Of A Genius. The band will be performing with Jagwar Ma at The Foundry in Philadelphia on Nov. 11 and Webster Hall in New York City on Nov. 12. The band will also be headlining two of their own shows, one in New York City at Mercury Lounge on Nov. 13 and the other at Rough Trade NYC in Brooklyn on Nov. 14.
