Agent Zero Returns to the Mountain: “Visionary Sound” at Camp Bisco XVI

Philadelphia’s premier post-EDM outfit Agent Zero takes its transcendent psychrock to Camp Bisco, the pinnacle summer festival July 12-14 at Montage Mountain in Scranton, Pa. Set to share bops off the latest album, The Awakening, and new tracks to debut at Bisco, Agent Zero brings the live band with DJ Ryan Ha on drums, Jason Luber on guitar, Rob Potter on saxophone and wind synth, and synths and samples by Agent Zero (aka Noah Selwyn).

Agent Zero is no stranger to Camp, last year going in with an inaugural performance slot that opened the festival with the very first set of Day 1, kicking it off alongside Adam Deitch (Lettuce, Break Science) and CloZee. This lead to an impromptu set post-Pretty Lights with vision art masters Laser Guided Visions and an afterhours Renegade setup in the RV camp later that night, resulting in three packed live sets in the first 24 hours of the festival. Not to mention, an IRL run-in with The Disco Biscuits.

But Agent Zero is a Camp Bisco veteran beyond those first performances. “Camp Bisco was the first music festival I went to as a teenager,” says Noah Selwyn, founding member and music producer for Agent Zero. “It’s great to bring the tunes home to the place where my musical spirit began.”

Alongside headliners, The Disco Biscuits and Lotus (both Philadelphia-based bands), Lettuce and Bassnectar, Agent Zero clinches the lineup at a currently classified stage at Camp Bisco, Day 3 (Saturday afternoon, July 14). Attendees can expect more pop-up Renegade sets with the full Agent Zero band, along with producer goldenSpiral (aka Adrian Palashevsky), with whom they dropped their new album The Awakening in a dual release at Philly music mainstay Johnny Brenda’s this last spring.

According to Selwyn, for when he does have a moment to catch some tunes at the festival, he is most looking forward to seeing STS9, G Jones, The Floozies, and Liquid Stranger, sending a shout out to “the homie Horizon Wireless,” the New York City-based break beat duo. With a style described as a ‘Visionary Sound,’ Agent Zero returns to the Mountain to both share and take it all in.

Like Agent Zero, the Camp Bisco lineup is a continuously evolving juxtaposition of electronic and rock music, bringing together fans of all musical tastes and backgrounds for one common goal: to open the mind and have fun!

Camp Bisco is the summer music festival founded and hosted by The Disco Biscuits, the former Phish-cover band turned improv rock juggernauts. The three-day event nearly two decades running features a lineup of four-dozen musical acts, wellness resources (including yoga and a 5K with Biscuits bassist Marc Brownstein), and food and crafts from vendors in the tri-state.
