THE ZOMBIE MAFIA

Sayreville, NJ

One band that maybe I should’ve featured around Halloween was a band called The Zombie Mafia. I found out about these guys through Joe and Crystal Cattano down at Aarius Studios in Sayreville, NJ, when Joe and Crystal featured them on one of their reality show episodes. I decided to finally give them a listen, and if you’re into bands like The Misfits, Motorhead or King Diamond, then you will love these guys. Personally, not my cup of tea, but it might be yours. I got to hear a few songs off of The Zombie…

If you play in a Jersey band, have you ever wondered where this New Jersey music scene evolved from? Well, my guess is that this scene evolved from bands like The Doughboys. I recently received an email to give them a listen because their song, “Black Sheep,” was labeled as “The Coolest Song In The World” on Little Steven’s Underground Garage station on Sirius/XM radio.
