One band that maybe I should’ve featured around Halloween was a band called The Zombie Mafia. I found out about these guys through Joe and Crystal Cattano down at Aarius Studios in Sayreville, NJ, when Joe and Crystal featured them on one of their reality show episodes. I decided to finally give them a listen, and if you’re into bands like The Misfits, Motorhead or King Diamond, then you will love these guys. Personally, not my cup of tea, but it might be yours. If you play in a Jersey band, have you ever wondered where this New Jersey music scene evolved from? Well, my guess is that this scene evolved from bands like The Doughboys. I recently received an email to give them a listen because their song, “Black Sheep,” was labeled as “The Coolest Song In The World” on Little Steven’s Underground Garage station on Sirius/XM radio.
