Union County Music Fest: More Fun Than You Can Shake Your Groove Thang AT…

As if a five-day carnival and a walkathon to raise funds for cancer studies, awareness and prevention wasn’t enough, the Union County Music Festival plans to deliver—for free. Performing at the Oak Ridge Park in Clark, NJ on Saturday, Sept. 11, amidst rides, games and attractions (and funnel cake!) will be Train, Ok Go, The Bravery, Soul Asylum and more. But don’t wear yourself out too quickly, because Spoon, The Zombies, Nicole Atkins & The Sea, and Suzanne Vega, among others, perform on Sunday, Sept. 12.

More acts will be announced in the days leading up to the festival and the first band takes the stage at 11 a.m. on Saturday and noon on Sunday. Following the festivities on Saturday will be an after party at The Crossroads with The Alarm (tickets $20 adv. $25 D.O.S. 21+ only.). The county fair starts Sept. 8 and lasts through Sept. 12, and the Rock On! Walkathon takes place on Saturday at around 9 a.m. For more information, visit ucmusicfest.com.
