His first release back in 2007 gained him critical acclaim, but his newest album, …And They Have Escaped The Weight Of Darkness, may bring him total and complete notoriety. Only 23 years old, Ólafur Arnalds is a multi-instrumentalist who has played in metal bands, indie bands and his own neo-classical electronic symphony; mixing chamber pop with classical compositions while performing with a string section and light show.
