Texan band The Wooden Birds is embarking on their second tour after the release of their album, Two Matchsticks. This month, the band will be holding two concerts in New York, on Thursday, July 14 at The Mercury Lounge and Friday, July 15 at The Rock Shop in Brooklyn. The concerts will showcase the subdued style and percussive elements of The Wooden Birds, and will include songs from both of the band’s albums. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday and 8 p.m. on Friday. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.
