If you’re interested in the history of women in the music world, go to Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, July 30 for the event dubbed The Ponderosa Stomp: She’s Got The Power! From noon through 4 p.m. you will hear from Lesley Gore, The Angels and The Exciters, including a screening of vintage footage. At 5 p.m., LaLa Brooks, Arlene Smith, Baby Washington and many others will be speaking. All performances are free and no tickets are required for this all day event.
