By day, Lynda McLaughlin and Valerie Gurka are two best friends working in the media industry, but by night these ladies transform themselves into pop sensation Lyva. The duo will be opening for hip-hop legends Rapper’s Delight, who many may remember being called the Sugarhill Gang in the ‘80s. The show is at The Knitting Factory in Brooklyn on Sept. 29. Tickets for the show are $15 in advance and $18 at the door. Doors are at 7 p.m., and the show is all ages.
