Afie Jurvanen, Canadian musician, performs under the stage name Bahamas. His debut album, Pink Strat, received a JUNO nomination for Roots Album Of The Year and made its way on the Polaris Long List. Bahamas’ music is a profoundly original, intricate combination of folk and indie. Its acoustic sounds emit a feel-good vibe, which portrays the relaxing atmosphere present in the islands of his namesake. Bahamas will be performing at The Mercury Lounge, in New York, on Feb. 7 to celebrate the release of his sophomore album, Barchords. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; tickets are $10.
