Perfume Genius is the brainchild of indie singer and lyricist Mike Hadreas. Put Your Back N 2 It, his latest work, was released on Feb. 21 by Matador Records. It has a deep, ethereal sound and goes in a refreshing direction when compared to his 2010 album, Learning. This record delves into the common threads that we, as humans, share in the aspects of life that tie us to this earth. Perfume Genius will woo New York on April 3 at Mercury Lounge and April 5 at Glasslands in Brooklyn.
