The Southern psychedelic indie rock band The Fire Tapes are touring to support their self-released 2011 album, Dream Travel. The CD is a mixture of somber vocals, haunting melodies, and eccentric music. The mysterious group is hard to pin in any one genre with their blend of country, folk, rock and roll, indie, and psychedelic tunes—sometimes all in one song. On Friday, July 20, they are playing Pete’s Candy Store in Brooklyn with Brother Reverend.
