After opening for Matchbox Twenty throughout March, singer-songwriter Matt Hires will be performing May 2 at Rockwood Music Hall in New York. Following his 2009 debut, Take Us To The Start, Hires released his 2013 four-song EP, Forever, through Atlantic that delivers a bright, pop acoustic attitude. The single, “Restless Heart,” off of Forever, charted as iTunes Single Of The Week and was accompanied by an official music video that aims to secure the solo artist as an Americana heartthrob. Matt Hire’s sophomore full-length, This World Won’t Last Forever, But Tonight We Can Pretend, is expected to be released this summer.
