Hand-picked by Brian Fallon of The Gaslight Anthem, Bayonne-based punk group The Scandals are set to open for the band at Red Bull Sound Select Presents: New York. The Scandals are a damn near perfect example of a different spin on classic pop punk rock. Lead singer Jared Hart brings the heat with deep, raspy vocal work seldom seen outside of hard rock and metal, and almost never seen in this genre. The free show takes place on July 27 at Irving Plaza, and also features Dave Hause and Frances And The Foundation.
