Leftover Cuties: Read All About

The Prohibition era was a remarkable time period, but from a logistics standpoint, it doesn’t seem like one worth visiting. However, if a trip to the world of Gatsby is what you desire, and a flux capacitor is out of reach, go and see Leftover Cuties at the Rockwood Music Hall on Aug. 3. Their vintage image, complete with depression-era suspenders, an accordion and upright bass, gives them the appearance of severely displaced silent film actors, but their application and lyrical content make for a whole different sexy and modern beast. If the show is not an option, their second album, The Spark & The Fire, dropped on July 23 and goes perfectly with low lights and pool table.
