What do you get when you fuse genres like classic Motown, jazz, blues, and soul into a modern-day indie group? The answer is the Long Island, NY-based trio, Peru. The band consists of singer and guitarist Michael Desmond, bassist Thomas Costa, and drummer Jay Scalchunes. The group has just released a new music video for their song “I Need You” and will be headlining Stage 2 at the Rockwood Music Hall on May 29. Also, be on the look out for the release of their upcoming EP titled Ordinary People due out in the summer.
