The dynamic duo Blue Coin are scheduled for three local shows on their tour. On Aug. 8 they’ll be at the Grove St. Path (Groove On Grove Summer Concert Series) in Jersey City. Blue Coin will also be at Spike Hill on Aug. 18 and on Aug. 24, they’ll be at NYC’s Bitter End. Their second EP, The Killing Spree, was recently released on June 23. Blue Coin’s sound is very organic and raw, which reflects the production style of their most recent EP, as it was mainly recorded live. The music collaboration of Brian Joyce and Patrick McGrath come together fluidly, creating a very relaxing folk rock tone.
