Guilford Sound: The Golden Ticket

Guilford Sound will be reopening their annual Guildford Sound Recording Residency competition, which offers unsigned artists a chance to accomplish their dreams by being awarded a residency at the Vermont studio. The winner gets 12 days of studio time, housing, and $1,000. After receiving over 200 entries this year, the studio chose New York City’s own North Highlands as the grand prize winner, who spent August recording their second album on the 300-acre property. Those interested can submit applications through the studio’s website, guilfordsound.com, from Oct. 1 through March 20.
