Forming after a jam session between a large group of high school cellists, Austin-based pop orchestra Mother Falcon soon morphed into the 18-member ensemble that they are today. In 2011, they released their debut album, Alhambra, which won them several Austin Music Awards. Their sophomore record, You Knew, came out in May, and they spent the majority of 2013 touring in support of it. The group will be playing at World Café Live on Jan. 8, Littlefield on Jan. 10, and Le Poisson Rouge on Jan. 11.
