Trampled By Turtles: Newgrass

—by , November 9, 2010

Redefining the genre of bluegrass, the Minnesota-based band Trampled By Turtles, is often called a “thrash-grass” group. Their country style mixes rock and punk with traditional bluegrass elements. After releasing their first album in 2004, the group toured the US with Cracker, Lucero and White Iron Band. Their newest album, Palomino, was released this April. Trampled By Turtles will be bringing their “Fly Palomino Tour” with The Infamous Stingdusters to the Bowery Ballroom on Nov. 11. Tickets are $15 dollars for the 8 p.m. show. 21 +.
