Former The Hush Sound singer Greta Morgan began working on a solo project in 2009 after the band took a hiatus. She later joined forces with fellow musicians Dan Duzsynski, Matt Minx, Adam Coldhouse and Eric Hehr to form Gold Motel. Their sunny pop California sound is upbeat and catchy. The band’s self-titled second album was released earlier this month on Good As Gold Records. See them perform in Philadelphia at North Star Bar on July 19, the Bowery Ballroom in Manhattan on July 21, and The Saint in Asbury Park on July 22.
