Avatar are a melodic death metal band from Sweden. They’ve made a name for themselves in Europe, releasing records and supporting notable metal acts such as In Flames and Dark Tranquillity. With the release of their 2012 album, Black Waltz, the band is ready to do something they’ve never done before. They will kick off their first-ever U.S. tour at Webster Hall in NYC on Jan. 30. The band will also pay visit to the Chameleon Club on Feb. 6 and Crocodile Rock on Feb. 8 in Lancaster and Allentown, PA, respectively, with Sevendust and Lacuna Coil.
