Daddy Tapes Benefit: Healing Music Robert Gluck February 27, 2013 Goings-On It’s been 27 years and the Daddy Tapes Benefit is still going strong, an annual concert where a group of musicians pay tribute to the late “Daddy Tapes,” George L. Popp. After being located at various venues like CBGB and Kenny’s Castaways, the benefit will take place at The R Bar in the East Village on March 7. Acts include George Popp’s son, Bill, and his band, The Tapes. Throughout the years, the benefit has raised thousands of dollars for the American Heart Association.
