Flogging Molly’s music is untraditional, infectious, and inspiring. Its social and political awareness give it an edge that fans appreciate. Their newest album, Speed Of Darkness, was written in Detroit and refers to the US economic crisis. The CD includes songs that everyone can relate to; it is a testament to youth, maturity, and perseverance. Flogging Molly will be performing at Hammerstein Ballroom, in New York, on Feb. 22. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; ticket prices vary. The show will also feature Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears and The Devil Makes Three.
