Now I’m all for freedom of expression and freedom in general, but when I look at the hair of the guys in Escape The Fate I see a noxious mix of 80’s hair metal and today’s emo/scene doos. I’m not sure if that’s good or bad but it certainly caught my eye and even gave me a few laughs so maybe it’s good. Along with bands such as Bring me the Horizon, Escape The Fate is on the top of the heap in the post-hardcore/metalcore genre and don’t seem to have plans for going anywhere but up, especially with their recent signing to Interscope Records things seem to be going good for the band. Aside from the touring to come for this month and the next Escape The Fate are slated to unleash a new, self-titled album on Nov. 2. To tide you over before the release, they’ll be playing at Roseland Ballroom on Oct. 1.
